Trézor.io/Start® | Starting Up Your Device – Trézor®

Getting started with your Trézor® hardware wallet is the first step toward securing your cryptocurrency with full self-custody. Whether you’ve just unboxed your Trézor Model One or Trézor Model T, setting up your device through Trézor.io/Start is simple, safe, and essential to keeping your digital assets protected from online threats.

Step 1: Visit Trézor.io/Start

Begin by going to the official setup page in your browser. This ensures you’re guided through the legitimate onboarding process and not redirected to a phishing site.

Step 2: Download Trézor Suite

Trézor Suite is the official desktop or browser-based interface for managing your wallet. Download the latest version for your operating system directly from the setup page.

Step 3: Connect Your Device

Using the provided USB cable, plug your Trézor device into your computer. Follow the on-screen prompts in Trézor Suite to initialize your hardware.

Step 4: Install Firmware

If it’s your first time using the device, you’ll need to install the latest firmware. This ensures your device is running the most secure version available.

Step 5: Create a New Wallet

Once firmware is installed, you’ll be prompted to create a new wallet. During this step, you’ll receive a 12 or 24-word recovery seed. Write it down and store it offline—this is your only backup.

Step 6: Set a PIN

Create a strong PIN on your device to prevent unauthorized access.
